About the event ICT 2010

The ICT 2010 is a European biennial event, which aims to share visions of current and future research trends and explore key policy options. It is also a gathering point for researchers, business people, investors and high level policy makers in digital innovation.
The forum allows participants to display the latest research trends in ICT on a surface of more than 5000 m2.
This represents a fantastic opportunity for experts and R&D organizations, working in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and looking for partners, to network with like-minded individuals and businesses at the conference.

The EECA Cluster networking activities @ ICT 2010 event
In order to facilitate the promotion of the EECA organisations' ICT competences, the Cluster partners prepare a wide range of activities during the Europe’s most visible forum for ICT Research and Innovation - ICT 2010 event. These activities include:
- Setting up a Promotion Booth, where researchers from both the EU and the EECA region will have the opportunity to be informed on their collaboration potential, namely the funding 'instruments' to support such international research collaborations, the ICT priority areas in EECA counties, etc. The booth will act as the central point of information and the visitors will be able to browse through the EU-EECA ICT Competence Platform (i.e. on-line database with profiles of ICT actors from the region) and arrange for personal meetings with potential partners, adjusting their time plan throughout 3 days of the ICT 2010 Event.
- Organisation of a Networking Session, where the ICT research excellence in the EECA region will be presented and a number of one-to-one meetings among EU and EECA researchers will be scheduled.
- Distribution of a Promotional Guide of EECA ICT organizations and teams, to promote their competencies and fields of interest.

The EECA Cluster offers a unique opportunity for motivated EECA ICT teams to have their travel costs and subscription fees for ICT 2010 covered. In order to select the winners, who will benefit from financial support, an on-line Call for applications has been launched. The EECA team will evaluate the applicants and will select the winners from each country covered by the Cluster's activities, according to criteria provided in the Application pack.
The applicants need to be English – speaking representatives of:
- Teams motivated to compete in future FP7 calls with readiness and potential to collaborate on international ICT R&D projects.
- Teams with scientific excellence and prior knowledge of EU teams who can actively promote EECA R&D.
